Since you already have the Reynolds wheels, use them.

I can remember some issue with wide rims on Tarmacs though, http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=117712. But perhaps the Reynolds wheels are to shallow for this problem to occur?

So, I ended up putting a set of ritchey wcs apex 50mm carbon tubs on them, with vittoria corsa evo cx tubs. 6.75kg on the shop's scale.

Heheh that frame looks so tiny in the first pic, or rather the seat looks gigantic. A good trick on the eyes.

Very nice build and look forward to full pics at end of build. Love a compact and intensely fast-looking Tarmac!

I rode the tarmac for couple of months, but decided that I really dislike the stock paint job, and thus sent it for respraying at a local shop.

Wanted candy blue. Similar to this

In the meantime, my new build list would be as follows :

SR shifters
SR Fd Rd
SR brakes
SR crankset 53/39 170mm
SR cassette 11-25
3T Team 100mm (decals removed, and sprayed black)
Zipp carbon handlebar 40cm
Sworks original seat post sprayed black
Specialized original seat clamp
SL3 sworks tarmac frameset
Easton Ec90 slx 24mm
Selle San Marco Mantra Fx carbon
Look keo carbon ti pedals

My estimate for the weights is roughly 6.0kg. We'll see.

Pics to come in the coming week.

Model year ( black is older ) and chainrings ( EPS vs XPSS ) / chainring bolts. Black has 2 pcs bolts, red single bolt . Next version is also red "ultratorque" around spindle ;)

Pick up this c260 alu 100mm. Save a few grammes over the 3t arx ii team.

your frame came out perfectly. it looks great! I can't help you with the adapters though. I have no experience with that.
