Ryan's Vulgar Colnago C59 - 5,708g (Final Pics Up, pg 4)

So, Colnago's are supposedly not meant to be built up light weight since *they are all about the ride*. I'm going to eschew the norm on this build in full WW style
Here's some pictures to get started:
Straight out of the box
52S frame weight with headset bearings, fr & rear derailleur hangars and cable guide (1153g)
Cut fork with crown race and about 3-4cm too much steerer for my needs (370g)
Low Stack Headset Top Bearing Cover @ 11g
With that, we're at 1534g. Compared to my Litespeed Xicon with the same parts, I was at 1632g, so a 98g saving over a Ti frame. Let's hope the ride is worth it.

Prend, you and tuning frames... What would I tune on this frame? I think sanding it would be sacrilege.

I think the frame itself is beautiful, I've always admired Colnago tube shapes and geometries.
That said, I've also always desired to see them in raw carbon. They're known for having *a lot* of paint and lay it on very, very thick. This one may be different, but it's paint nonetheless.
Perhaps just leave the headtube logo in case people are mistaking it, but really since Colnago is reportedly exquisite in their layups, why not show thm off and save weight in the process? You will still have that marvelous tube shape, lug style and so forth.
Also: screws holding in the derailleur hanger can be replaced with aluminum ones to save some weight.

Actually, discounted C59s are seriously good vfm right now.

Ooof, not a good start. Zipp's a little off their claimed weight on this one @ 140g vs claimed at 125g:
Berk padded 132mm saddle (actual measured width was 138mm/136mm compressed and 94g)
