Its brazed as well which will add a bit more weight compared to TIG welded.

My 853 TIG welded frame is 1740g with a 1 1/8" HT. Tapered steerer definitely adds a lot more weight compared to a straight one, Paragon tapered 130mm HT is 200g is for example, straight gauge tubing used for a HT won't weigh close to that.

My 52cm 853 Volare with 44mm head tube and 386bb shell IIRC was 1820g. I think.
Would love to hear some ride comparisons about this frame, it looks great.

Thx @grid256 for pointing that out!! HSS rides just a bit stiffer compared to Spirit in lighter forms, but it's a great tubeset for racier rigs.
