I just recently built this bike up and have been enjoying it too much to post a build list.
While I have plans to further lighten it, for now, a sub 6.8 kg bike without even really trying is good enough for me.
Build highlights include the following:
EE brakes
Enve 3.4 clinchers, with Tune hubs and Specialized Turbo tires
Stages DA 9000 power meter
Ultegra Di2 group with SRAM XG 1190 cassette
My faithful S Works Toupe saddle that is 3+ years old

What's better than 1 Parlee? 2! Pictured with my friends Altum.

Ride report yet? Curious how the Trek compares.

There will always be a soft spot in my heart for the Z5 SLi. Great weight as well, considering you're not using ultra light boutique parts (except the ee's). What width Turbo tires are you running with the 3.4's? No rubbing I assume.

@RyanH - The Parlee definitely feels different, however, it is good because it reminds me of my old SL4. While the Madone was no doubt a great bike, for whatever reason, it didn't feel quite as stable as the Tarmac (and Parlee) on high speed descents. There are a few spots on my regular rides where previously I would have to brake, but with the Parlee I don't even feel the need to. The Z5 is a comfortable ride, but I didn't have any issues with the Trek either. What I appreciate is being able to run my brakes setup where I want and not have any rub due to the chain stay mounted brakes, the EE's are awesome brakes and I think they work better than the direct mount DA 9000s I had.
@Rippin - Thanks! I am running the 24s without any rubbing. They're a really nice tire and for conditions here are better than the Vittorias that my riding partner runs. I would be interested in the 26, but it might be pretty close in the rear.

@3delis the Altum looks worse now that the owner switched wheels. Also, the garage is nothing special :P

Which bars do you use? Enve? Classic or compact?

@Arnoud, I am running the Enve compact. No complaints from me, I like it!

My Z5 is now 5 years old, just upgraded it to DA 9000.
It is still my go to bike for long rides in the hills or long races/ events.
Weight wise it still compares favourably to an Emonda SLR 9 or the latest SWorks Tarmac.

Just saw this. Nice Mr. DR! Need to bring the Z1 over for the complete lineup :)
The EEs are definitely good brakes; I have them on the C60. But DAs remain the ultimate reference in stopping power and modulation.

Nael, we definitely need to ride soon, and the Z5 looks forward to a ride with its brother! :beerchug: I have a padded Berk saddle coming and am looking forward to trying it out.
