Hey Guys, Been a long time lurker. Finally gotten around to take some pics of my commuter bike on the Last day of Summer here, on the west coast of Canada.

Been searching/Wanting a Trek District Carbon for the longest time now. Got a chance to pick one up in my size and the rest is history.

Parts list is pretty small lol. with this bike, Less is more.

Frame = 2011 52 cm Trek Madone OCLV Carbon frame hand made in the USA ( they were made in a very limited production run )

Fork = Bontrager Race Lite Carbon with aluminum steerer

Wheelset = factory Bontrager Race lite aero, 1775g ( I will be upgrading wheels to something carbon )

Tires - Factory Bontrager Race All-Weather, 700 x 23c

Crankset = FSA Energy cranks ( switching to some Carbon cranks for some weight savings )

Pedals = Premium Products BMX Slim Plastic Pedals 350g (guessing)

Drive train = 55T/22T Gates carbon Belt Drive

Brakes = Bontrager Speed Limit front Caliper w/custom lever

Stem = BBB roadforce II 80mm stem 140g

Handle bar = Ritchey WCS carbon Flat bar trimmed down to 470mm 135g

Grips = ESI Silicone MTB Grips 54g with Plugs, ( not pictured )

Saddle = Fizik Volt R1 Carbon railed saddle 191g


There is Lots of weight Saving at hand. I would like to have it under the 6 kilo mark when Finished. Then It would weigh roughly the same as my Road Bike.

That's sweet.
What goes on with converting what I assume are road wheels to belt drive?
Could you post a close up pick of the rear hub?
I've always feared there would be an ugly spacer, but this looks great.

the brake leaver is actually a crank bro's dropper seatpost switch, it actually works quite well .

and there is spacers on the cassette body to center the belt drive sprocket, but it doesn't look bad at all.
