Hi Tomyboy, yeah its a personal thing for the logo, which i can fully accept! I agree with your thoughts and like the full black and not the weave. My 695 (factory finish) has both, but the weave is only visible in parts and less so as its Matt black.

The gold bits have to go! Change the chain to a KMC X11SL DLC Black. I am sure that gold chain will be used on another ride :D .

I tried so say that, some frames keep just a little weave visible in transition to the black, they started that with 2015 models I think. Majority are going to all black.

My thought exactly about the gold, it is going down, but will probably keep the drivetrain parts gold for now. It is not that disruptive as the majority of yellow is in front.
Don't know if I will invest 80 EUR for the black chain, just because of one photo? :|
Did have the black chain in the past and I didn't like the look and maintenance, after just one or two rides. It alway looks that is dirty.

Really satisfied with the weight, started with 6.9.
Calculation were spot on:

Went all black on the upper part of the bike and left drivetrain gold.
Surprisingly is not that bad as I thought. All black will be 100%, but... :noidea:
Will post proper DSLR photos of the build next week.

Heh heh heh.... You know it makes sense.....

Looking forward to those SLR photos!!

Great weight too considering the parts list, I always thought electronic was a good 3-400g heavier than mechanical?!

Yap, it doesn't make a whole lot more sense now...
Actually, latest DA and Ultegra Di2 are a few grams lighter than equivalente mechanical groupset.

Any thoughts regarding cleaning and detailing matte finish?
I did some resurch and the guy who did the paint job recomended, that the best-tested option to polish the frame, after the wash is using mild soup and microfiber towel. For more toughest stains, you can use multipurpose degreaser, like Dexal, Meglio, Simple Green etc.
I tried this, when the build was finished and it works perfect.
My question now is regarding bike wash.
I use Morgan Blue Bike Wash, which is nice and foamy, but it has a protective wax-component in it.
Should I avoid washing matte frame with this product? Or it wouldn't do any big damage on a long term, as I use only one bottle screw of this stuf, for the whole wash? :noidea:

Just avoid too much rubbing with the chamoix. I've starting to lose the matte on my supersix, and I suspect it's because she makes me excited and I rub a little too hard.

Swissvax & Chemical Guys for ex. have a full range of products for matte finish. Going from 'polish' to shampoo, incl some quick clean sprays and wax. Try to avoid any product with regular wax in it, even car shampoo, if you really want to keep the matte finish. And avoid rubbing to much. I hope for you that wile riding, your legs of bib shorts don't rub the paint, even very slightly, or you are getting glossy spots as I got with my matte Canyon. I ended up with a full and extensive polish to get and even gloss finish.
