@SLCBrandon, Your bike look nice, our bikes really look alike with all black stuff.
Looks great Birdman. I have read some people complain about the Allez not being stiff enough. Have you found this to be the case? Like the below thread.

Thanks! Stoked to see another one out there.
You'll see I've commented In the referenced thread above. I have this bike and an '15 SW Allez and both feel identical in stiffness.

Who ever is complaining about the stiffness should check out the new Allez Sprint, have you guys seen it? That thing is HOT! I love hydroform tubes.
Anyway, no I haven't put enough time on the bike to provide any meaningful thoughts on the ride yet. So far it feels on par against my Domane 6.2, definitely corners sharper that's for sure. The wheels on both bikes have the same rim weight, but the Bontrager R3 tires on the Domane are 100g lighter than the Conti's per tire, so it felt faster. At this point I know too little to say anything else. I'll post some more thoughts after about 50 miles.
Before I bought this bike I almost pull the trigger on a CAAD10, mostly because I hear more good things about it than the Allez. Of all the side by side reviews I've read, is almost a 50/50 split on all things ride quality related, like comfort, stiffness, handling...etc. So I went with the Allez, because I'm a sucker for hydroform tubes, and Specialized have much better aesthetics than Cannondale. Really just personal preference.

@ Ahillock
I just went to that thread, I remember reading it awhile ago but didn't think much of it. I treated that thread as them bring the vocal minority. I'm not saying their problems are not real, I'm just thinking there are probably a lot more people without this flex issue but just no one spoke up about it except for @SLCBrandon.
I'll do a few sprints just for you! Although I'm not powerful but I'll report back anyway.

Black crank (as in Ultegra Grey).
Yes?
Yes!
I hate the silver crank as much as you do, but this was the only one I had laying around, and it is also 5mm too long. Maybe you guys can help me pick out my next crank, here are the options in my personal ranking:
1. Sram RED 22 BB30, with Praxis rings, I heard nothing but good things about this combo
2. Dura Ace 7950, with Praxis rings, also a sexy looking combo
3. S-Works, with Praxis rings, 2nd stiffest by Fairwheel bikes
These are off the list:
1. Ultegra 6800, I already have 2 of them...
2. Anything Campy, don't care for their crank arrangement and special tool needs
3. Anything with 4 arms, would like to have flexible chainring options.
For formatting you can use the code environment. Great info on the masses! Gold anodization must add a bit, I'd think.

I missed the bidding on a Sram RED22 crankset in the config I wanted... very angry at myself
Thanks @djconnel! I'll try that next time.
Interesting you mentioned the gold anodize adding weight, I always though anodizing aluminum would be lighter weight than paint. No?

Use plastidip gold on your cranks! [emoji1]
