My Campy mix is going on this bike. The black Campy kit should look awesome against the anodized gold frame :)

The rear brake cable routing is awful though... Of all the bikes that I've played with, this one generates the MOST rear brake friction... I gotta play with the housing length some more to resolve this issue. I'm pretty sure the cable housing entry/exit angle is the culprit.

Birdman, have you tried nosed ferrules with your housing? They usually help resolve the friction points that are present at any given end of cable housing, especially if the entry/exit angles are not straight.

@wojchiech, Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely try that.

Apparently this is a common issue per this thread:

Anodized frame, painted fork.

The anodized gold looks sooooo awesome in person, especially under the sun. The painted fork however... not as pretty. BUT is full carbon so whatever.

Some progress...

17 lb 01 oz = no pedal, no bar tape, with rear light, with bottle cage.

That looks pretty awesome.
Black chain rings and removing the Bontrager wheel stickers would make the frame pop even more.

Yeah I didn't think about the chainring color when I got those Praxis rings...

Oh and by the way, I went full length rear brake cable housing. Drilled through the frame cable stops. Friction issue is MUCH improved.

Right now I'm just using regular shop bulk housing. Eventually will go to Yokozuna full length.
