Great job for under 1k!!! Did you remove the specialized decals or am I blind, (if so it looks so much better without them)!

Great job... you're going to fall in love with this bike. I have one and have had dozens of high end carbon and this Allez is something magical.

The specialized sticker is on the top and bottom of downtube and it is a matte sheen specialized sticker, blends very well!

This is with some cheap junk wheels and skewers, with a 12-30 tiagra cassette. The 6700 cassette, Ti skewers and carbon clincher brought it down from 18.99lbs to 17.75.

Updated pic after my first crit in Lousiville, CO yesterday. Got some new bottle cages and carbon spacers. Felt really good going fast on this bike, corners like a champ.

I've just ordered the 2016 Allez SL frame which will be here next month. With regards to the BB shell, is it the narrow OSBB system like the carbon Tarmacs or is it a standard 68mm width?

Thomson post and I see that I need to adjust saddle angle!

This is a little update to my first road build. I am not a very good photographer, sorry. Hope to upgrade to some Ultegra/Dura Ace bits in the future. Thanks to everyone who posts as I have learned a lot on here.

Thanks a lot! It was hard building it from scratch with such a limited budget, but I love it. Any shots of yours?

17.24 lbs/ 7819 grams

Just picked up a used set of standard specialized carbon cranks and ultegra carbon pedals.
Bars and shifters next that will get me under 17 pound mark.

Only about 1550 dollars into this project at this point!

New items:
11-28 Ultegra Cassette
Specialized Carbon 53/39 Crank

Also just picked up an ultegra front and rear derailleur. Waiting to install those with some new cables, chain and pads. I know this is a slow build but I am a wallet weenie so I have to find the right deals. Thanks!
