Apologies in advance for the horrible photos. melbourne is currently in the grip of a "polar vortex" and it's hardly outdoor photography weather.
Mapei Master 30th, full DA9000, DA9000 32h to ambrosio chrono tubs, dura ace headset converted to threadless, deda bar and stem, older style colnago post (this hasn't arrived yet). I haven't decided on saddle and tape etc.
weight: some kgs and some grams. don't care.

Wow this is a thing of beauty... Should be campy, but the frame makes up for it. Fired up to see the finished product

Indeed!
Very nice!
Not trying to be smart, but Deda Newton 31 stem is less bulkier than Zero100 stem...

Why Campy?
The Mapei Colnagos were Shimano Dura Ace.
Why campy?
1. it's the best, and anything that has been touched by Ernesto deserves it.
2. it does not appear to be a period team bike that you are building to spec
3. Colnagos just look and feel better with a full italian build

1. it's the best, and anything that has been touched by Ernesto deserves it.-Your opinions, no facts to back it up.
2. it does not appear to be a period team bike that you are building to spec-So he can build it with whatever parts he wants.
3. Colnagos just look and feel better with a full italian build
You really have no idea how the Italian manufacturing works. Those frames were not made by Ernesto or by his comb over.
Those frames were contracted out to other vendors. Keep dreaming about old Italians making and touching the parts, giving them "soul". What a joke.

Good morning gentlemen, being offered a very similar build bike , from Milan , would like to dwell on the experience of my peers on what I can quote , Mapei extra light master w, with 2010 super record and neutron wheels , with carbon bars and stem
