Merckx Corsa Extra 7.666Kg
Weighed with computer, pedals and Zipp carbon cages. Served me well and has done many Saturday/Sunday back to back century rides and Six Gap in Dahlonega. Yes, I did use that 53/39T, 11-23T at 6gap. No, I won't ever do that again. I did manage a respectable time.

Some component highlights:
KCNC brakes
Easton EC90 Bars
SLR Carbon saddle (comfy for me)
American Classic headset (rare and light)
Syntace 90mm Stem
Campy Record Carbon 10 Speed
Exustar Ti Pedals (use paraffin to prevent creaking)
Vittoria Corsa Evo CX tubulars 700x23c
CatEye Strada computer
Merak Carbon Seatpost

Can I ask how tall you are and what size the frame is?

That's cool! An original fork or another carbon fork without decals would look better.

Thanks KGT. :) I still have the original fork but I was going for a lightweight / vintagish build for this bike.

I do have an MXLeader Merckx with Motorola livery that I retained the MXL fork and built up with Campy 11 speed and a few surprises. Have not weighed it but was not going for that.

Will post that soon

I will have to say this Merckx Corsa Extra handles great. Turns well and is stable even on the 88Kph downhill sections of 6 Gap.
Very plush too as expected, it has softened some pretty harsh washboard sections.

Yes, the KCNC brakes do acquit themselves well but I am not sure how many times the cables can be replaced since the fixing bolts that clamp the cables have such tiny allen bolts.

This would be the frame to have next to a Colnago Master .. a different fork and alloy wheelset like the ambrosio would look nice with the frame .. over all great build.

Does have that badboy coolness to it but I wonder how it would look in more homogenised colours :)

Props on the bike; clean build.

Big salute for the 39/23 at 6 Gap (if you even used it)! :beerchug:
