Hey guys, this is my first ever post on weightweenies and I made this account solely to post about this bike. I have 3 other bikes; 2015 Tarmac 14.4lbs, Colnago C60 15.2lbs, and a CAAD 10 16.4lbs. They are great bikes, but none of them impressed me as much as this bike does. My goal was to build a Chinese frameset as light as I could go. I thought it was going to turn out a disaster but it turned out to be a dream.
I was wondering if you guys know of any way I could get it down to 10lbs flat or under.

Very impressive !
I'm considering something along the same lines right now (after I clear out my other bikes) - could you (if you don't mind of course) save me some time and give a rough estimate of how much you spent on this without the wheels ?

Mercury pedals by TriRig. They are amazing pedals, but the only drawbacks are the bearings. They tend to get extremely hot and cause the pedal body to heat up because of it. If you aren't careful where you place your leg at a red light, it can really burn your calf.
Do they squeak ever? When I had the Cirrus Ti, they would often get some dirt under them, causing them to squeak non-stop.

Yes! They used to squeak up a storm but I fixed it by using valvoline all purpose grease. The downside is I have to grease them up every week. Know of any other greases that would last longer?

It is a bit heavy, but I'm happy with the weight. The frame set came out lighter than my S-Works Tarmac, Colnago C60, and CAAD10 frames . The manufacturer is unknown, but I got it through Velobuild.com. From what i understand, Velobuild is just the middleman open mold companies go through so they can get their product sold. The total cost for the frameset was $600 USD including decals. In my eyes a $600 891g frame, that rides great, is a better WW bang for your buck, than a $5000 North of 1000g frame.

Great build! The lightest Chinese bike I've seen. What are the depth and width of the Farsports rims?
Going under 10 lbs will be tough, I guess you will have to get new wheels to achieve that. My bar tape is Circus Monkey eva foam tape, its 25 g, so you can save a bit there for $10, rest of the upgrades seem very expensive.
Bars look a bit strange with that huge reach from drops to levers, how is that comfortable?

Very nice. Looks a bit like a Rue meets a Cervelo
How's the Wi Fli , Is the shifting good up to 32 etc ?
Does 50x32 work?

Thank you aronjancso, You won't be able find my wheelset on their website because it was a special order, but its 30mm by 21mm. At first they only offered at 20mmx23mm that was 845g, but i would of been scared to ride on those, so i put in a special request. They now have a 30mmx23mm and a 30mmx25mm version of the wheelset.
Oh, by the way, the wheelset is a Farsport rim, laced to a Extralite cyberfront and cyberRear using Sapim CX-RAY Spokes and SILS Nipples. I'll post pictures soon.
It will be tough, but I'm pretty sure i can get down to it. I've seen a BH on here that has a 30g lighter frame and is under 10lbs. thank you for the tape recommendation.
for now, its kinda comfortable, I am stretched out more than what i would like to be when on the drops. I ordered a 100mm stem, so maybe that would solve my reach problem.

Hello xena,
The Wi Fli is amazing, there is no chain rub on any of the gears, and it can handle 50x32 beautifully. However there is a slight downside to it; I don't know why but every month and a half or so I have to adjust the RD from shifting kind of funny. I run Sram Wi Fli on all my bikes, but this is the only one that has given me any problems. I've owned all my bikes for roughly 6 months now, and I haven't had to adjust the RD on any of the other bikes since installation, except for this one. I can't seem to figure out why though. IF you have any ideas, please let me know

Hello liam7020,
The model is VB-R-016 Super Light. I agree that 303 is very light, but I always thought that if a frame went above 750g it was too heavy to be considered a weight weenie haha
