I couldn't resist a Ti frame with airfoil shaped tubes... even though it certainly will never be a lightweight as a consequence.
Currently has:
-9000 derailers
-Ultegra 6800 chain, cassette, brakes, shifters, and wheels
-Extralite stem, QRC2 crankset, and chainrings
-BolD Ti seatpost
-ISM Adamo saddle
-Chinese Aeronova copies w/old innertubes as bar tape
-Profile Design Carbon Stryke aero-bars
-A600 pedals
-Chris King headset
-True Temper Alpha Q Aero fork
-Conti 4 Season tires
Total weight is roughly 8.6kg/19lb...
...There is a lot of work to be done.
First things to go will be the brifters, handlebars, and aerobars. I'm procuring Dura Ace bar end shifters and break levers, and have an Easton Attack TT base/aero bar arriving tomorrow (supposed to weigh less than 400 grams!). This will help a great deal in shedding several hundred grams given the 400gram+ weight of the brifters and the heavy aluminum clamps on the aerobars (and swapping out the inner-tubes for Deda perforated bar tape will also help).
In the future I might also shed several hundred grams by going with a dash integrated seat post & saddle (I'd have to have a frame builder modify the seat tube to accept aero seat posts, if that's possible), November Rail 52 carbon wheels, as well as cutting the steerer tube.
