So I recently purchased my dream bike, something that I have wanted for 20 years. This edition is very nice without much flaws, no rust and a few negligible paint chips. I have a set of 10 speed alloy chorus groupo but the levers and rear deraileur have a little rash. I'm thinking should I go with a newer modern group or stick with the chorus. I'm leaning towards the chorus. Bar tape will be white.

or 11 speed Athena..... like I built up mine?

Ultratorque cranks still avail. if you hunt them..... I think a silver crank will look better down in the BB area than more black (ie a dark Chorus crank) keep the carbon off this one..........

MJB. That's beautiful. Ok stick with chorus. Maybe the rash won't bother me that much. Just waiting on a fsa Ti square taper Italian bb to arrive and I can put it together. Will break out the Mother's polishing ball to freshen up and polish all the silver parts.

No problem to use modern components or to have all-black components. Whatever you feel fit. Enjoy the ride, I am going to enjoy mine (Master Olympic, Record carbon 9sp with everything black) in half an hour!

Huh, did not know that FSA produced a square taper BB with an ISO axel. Any reason to not use a Campy Chorus square taper BB? They are fantastic and not hard to find.

Weight I guess. Saves about 40 grams over record and about 60 grams over chorus.

If you want to save weight there, go for a Phil Wood Titanium axle ISO square taper BB.

Nice but not excited with the spacers, stem and this saddle...
Keep it simple in order for the frame to stand out.

I've got a Colnago Master i bought brand new in 2009 and built it with the last model Campagnolo Record Carbon 10 speed. Rides brilliantly.

Arg. I don t have a step down ferrule for the rear dérailleur braze on stop. Have too find one or order one. Guess it will be completed next week. I think it will turn out ok once I have the white bar tape and white hoods installed.

Tids your bike is beautiful.
