Canyon sells a compression plug, top cap and a flatter top bearing cover for those Acros headsets.
I think I got my nice red top cap that fits the 1 1/4 fork from Toronto Cycles.
But if you do not want to get lower, then just use what was supplied with the frame, it is a pretty good system. Lightest would be to use the lower bearing cover, tighten it all up with the Canyon compression plug and then remove the plug and use their open ring top cap.

Hi livestrong - I was reading your project from the first page to here...Excellent Job on an alloy bike frame...impressive weight loss ! May try this on my 853 frame (not too fond of carbon...ssshhhhh !)

Blimey ! - I didn't know what it was...until I scrolled down a bit further & saw that you'd 'dismembered' the brake/gear lever LOL - you guys really crawl inside your bikes is there anything that you won't drill/shave/remove ???

And new 120mm stem is on the way . 80mm Ritchey stem is too short . And 100mm Giant stem is too heavy.
