Hello,
So I am still waiting for my frame to return. I always find it best to not rush the people who are working on your bike. I just hope that it turns out well and meets my expectations. If you look at Spyder Composites website, this guy does really good work. He also communicates with you by cellphone which I think is pretty cool. I can imagine the really impatient customers who abuse this and badger him consistently for updates and deadlines. The bad part about waiting for my frame to return is I have more time to waste money on crap I don't really need. For example, although I have never even used the DASH P3 Saddle, I thought the one I currently have won't match this build because the logo was white and the rails were red. Also, it came in at 40 grams which is 3 grams over claimed. For something that weighs so little, I feel that 3 grams is a huge discrepancy. I decided to buy another DASH P3 Saddle with black rails and black logo with the hope that it will come in it at the claimed weight......well it didn't, it came in at 40 grams also.

The BOONE Titanium cogs and spacers were too heavy in my book. Plus, I thought I might save those for a future titanium bike build. I decided to go with some carbon cog spacers. I also went with an Absolute Black 16 tooth cog because I know it will work with an 11 speed chain. I went ahead and also got a matching TUNE lockring.

I decided also to not go with the LEW PRO VT1 wheelset. I am going to go with something lighter which will be:
77 COMPOSITES RIMS (Tune SKYLINER rims)
EXTRALITE CYBERHUBS
SAPIM CXRAY SUPERSPOKES

I got my Schmolke TLO handle bar to go with my Zeus Stem. It will be mated to a pair of Extralite foam grips.

If you put out any power at all, I'd guess the rear skewer is going to suck big time with track ends. Sure, give it a shot, but don't be surprised if you need to use something that you can crank down a little harder and has a larger surface area to grip the frame.
I would have to agree that the Tune Skyline Skewer for the back will be difficult to tighten down hard. I have a Ti track bike and have MACK Superlight Hubs from Poland on them. They came with some very nice bolt on skewers that were pretty light. I screw them on very tight and smash on the pedals with no issues. If the Tune Skyline Skewer is a no go, I will go ahead and use the extra set of bolts/skewer I have from another set of MACK Hubs I did not build up.

I have actually been thinking about how nervous and overly cautious I would be tightening down the rear wheel onto a one-off set of carbon horizontal drop outs. I have actually seen some friends crack carbon horizontal drop outs on a fancy track bike by over tightening the skewers. I have now decided to go a different route with the horizontal drop outs. I decided to use some titanium horizontal drop outs from Paragon Machine Works. They make high quality parts and I have been using their slider drop outs on my titanium mountain bike for years. 60 grams for the set is not necessarily light, but it is still lighter than a set of stainless steel Single Speed dropouts from Surly. Eagerly waiting to see Spyder Composites work some magic installing these dropouts on my frame.

Bit of an aside but have you spent much time on the mack hubs? I'm tempted to get a set for my xc bike and I was wondering what people thought about them.
MACK hubs are outstanding. They are hand made by this dude in Poland and it took about 5 weeks to get them. He will anodize any color you ask for and will do custom logos too. The hubs are machined so well that my wheel builder thought they came with full ceramic bearings when all I had were the steel bearings. They literally spin forever. I think the machining is equal if not better than Chris King Hubs. They are also not pigs like King hubs when it comes to weight.
