Hello,

I thought I would put together a titanium track bike for fun. Riding fixed gear is actually a lot of fun. You should try it. Was able to get the bike under 14 lbs. Not too bad with 88mm Clincher wheels I think. I live in a rather hilly area hence the front brake with Zipp SL handlebar. When I choose to ride the flats or attend any hipster fixed gear bike ride I take the front brake off and swap the handlebar with the Controltech Ti Mania Handlebar. Anyways here are the specs:

Frame: Waltly Titanium Track Frame
Stem: Waltly Titanium 100 mm
Handlebar: Zipp SL 42mm
Handlebar: Controltech Ti Mania 40mm
Brake lever: TRP
Brake caliper: TriRig Omega
Cable housing: Alligator iLink
Headset: Token
Fork: Leader full Carbon 28mm Rake
Pedals: Look Keo Blade Ti
Crankset: Rotor 3D Track
Bottom Bracket: Rotor Track
Cog: City Grounds 15 tooth
Chainring: Fibrelyte 49 tooth
Chain: KMC K710SL
Hubs: MACK Superlight Fixed hubset (R)120mm (F)100mm spacing (handmade in Poland)
Rims: Generic 88mm Carbon Clinchers from China
Spokes: Sapim CxRay
Saddle: DASH P3

That is outstanding! Can't agree more with you on riding a fixed gear bike is fun, been riding one for the past 10 years now.

OOPs. I took the pic with the wrong saddle. I will not be using the Selle Italia SLR saddle. Plus it is pointed down and that is not my current riding position. I will be using the DASH P3 Saddle on this baby. It only weighs 37 grams:)

Beautiful bike, but it seems like there's quite a bit of space between the rear tire and the downtube. Is there anything that you can do to close up that gap?

Hello,

I removed a few links and decreased the wheel base. I updated the photos. I have not ridden the bike yet. I will give a report on how it rides once I get a chance.

I've been reading up on these Chinese titanium frames, seems a couple people have found cracks anywhere from seat post to frame tubing. How has yours been holding up? It looks amazing btw.

I would have gone with a 44 mm straight head tube and hope or chrisking headset with external low cup
Internal headset sucks on a ti , steel bike especially from a esthetic POV

Spacers are always bad on a custom frame :(
The stem is set as +6 or -6° and i have that feeling because of the horizontal tt ?

Did you design the geometry your self ?
What are the tubing diameter ?

I luv your bike and would do something of that kind when I build a fixed gear in complement of my road and cyclocross/gravel ;) !

I didnt really invest too much with this build. It was purely for fun. Unfortunately, after only 5 weeks of use, the frame cracked at the bottom bracket making this bike useless.

Very refreshing to see on these boards!

I wish I spent more time on my track bikes these days.. I really think they are the best way to truly enjoy just riding a bicycle, plain and simple.
