Hetchins now stripped! We used a very fine bead to blast this frame, here's the result.
Due to how light the blasting is, we sometimes have to do a little extra by hand. The owner of this frame wanted to keep the head-badge on (the rivets are only original once!) so we carefully masked the badge up, the surrounding area will be sanded by hand before primer.

I'd firstly like to apologise for the mess in the photographs, we have a clean workshop but this area where we sand, flat, polish and prep frames gets a lot of action! We clean it on a weekly basis.
Hetchins restoration nearly finished, small amount of paint-work to be finished before we can lacquer and pin-stripe.
This frame has been flattened and decals applied. Ready for lacquer!

Some recent work..
We also received this frameset today, looking forward to giving it the No Quarter treatment.

Would be very interested if I keep my Focus, paints boring and shit atm would like something jazz. I just worry that my warranty would be out the window then, but it's either keep shit paint or look sweet ;0

Looking forward to the result of the Canyon repaint. Consider my Ultimate CF SLX as a "keeper", and wonder how it would look with a deep paint and gloss clear coat.

Canyon stripping has started!
Transfer getting cut off before we sand the whole frame. We do this so the new paint will be flush and even.
Paint on a carbon frame is much harder to strip than any other material, it has to be done by hand. Racing bikes are painted with the minimum amount of paint, all in the name of weight reduction. We do not use any air tools for stripping carbon.. abrasive paper and patience is the key.
Some bikes can go over £10,000 so we have to be 100% sure we keep the structural integrity of the frame. We're the only bicycle paint-shop in the UK to use the same carbon primer as F1 teams.
