Very nice! Trek 5900 is still a great bike and better than a lot of what's being produced today.

That frame looks fantastic nude. How much did it weigh after stripping it down?

My scales are rubbish so some of these weights are based on previous more accurate scales. Some parts maybe a wee bit lighter due to some parts weighed on my unreliable Kitchen scales ......

frame Trek 5900 superlight weighs around 950grms. Took off over 250grms worth of paint.

forks Storck stiletto UMS 230grms

tuned Red shifters with BTP carbon clamps ,,no idea ,sorry ...There's not much left to weigh . ha ha.

tuned Red front mech . just under 50grms with my own self made carbon cage that I fitted and the sad loss of a dremel

tuned Red rear mech 87grms

tuned Helion crankset including bb, including 53t Fibre Lyte chain ring. 560grms

Modolo downtube shifter and bits 8grms

Wheels clinchers XR200 rims ,Dati hubs, Sapim super spokes around 1190 grms made by my good friend and great mechanic Adi

Carbon seat post combo made by my good friend Ed http://londoncarbonrepairs.co.uk/ http://tsubasabicycles.com/ 142grms

Head set is Cane Creek AER the bearing hardly touched the scale 1grm. Did not weigh the rest... sorry

Zipp bars chopped down 155grms

Stem is a Ritchey -17 120mm 115 grms

Look keo carbon pedals ,no idea sorry.

Powercordz for the brakes

Normal cords for shifting

Outer housing is old tune housing with the casing stripped. This is way way lighter than Mini I links etc . No liner is needed and it just weighs a few grms.

Real carbon bar plugs are glued to the bars using a carbon glue weigh, 2grms

Ax Orion brakes with tuned KCNC pad holders that weigh less than 5grm each. Brakes are the older Orions and its 125grms all in.

recon cassette weighs 110 grms

Yaban chain 225grms "4 links removed" .

Veloflex master tyres 190grms

Conti inner tubes 50grms

Bar tape I picked up on ebay. Its not proper cycle tape. It is crazy light and leaves no sticky residue behind.

I do have a Fibre Lyte 40t for the inner ring but I'm always on the 53t so left the strong light 39t on.

The 40t will go on my other bike [SISL cranks]

I made some holes in the frame for internal cables, this did not work out to well. I took the frame to Ed and he fitted some new crazy light cable stops for me.

I filled the Holes myself with some carbon ud tape so the frame dropped a wee bit more weight. ha ah

I have 3 red front mech's tuned and I can tell you that cutting through titanium is a very hard. I blew up a dremel.

I do have a - 17 degree stem that weighs 89 grms Ed was going to make a combo with it but it's just to fat looking.

I am at the moment I am just rebuilding a Guru photon frame that Guru changed the frame to a PF30 from a normal BSA for me so I could run a SISL crank." my fav crank" It will be insane light lots of combo action and tuned parts.

I just want to say that Ed has got some real great stuff in the pipeline. I can't say much but it will be good.
He already has built frames below 700 grms. Ed's a talented guy give him a shout if you have anything you want made or repaired.

My friend Adi built these wheels. We have to thank Starbike for the great service. We kept getting the spoke size wrong and sending them back.
Adi said it was quite tricky using the super spokes, so in the end he found the best way build the rear was just to cross the spokes once on the drive side. The rest are just straight.
I do have another set of clinchers that weigh 1182grms. At some point I will stick some of the super spokes on them and they will drop at least another 30grms.

The frame/fork looks great. I can't believe you can ride such a massive drop!

There is a nice piece about the post-saddle combo on there. Might use their services :)
Really nice bike, top work.
