Condor Acciaio

I bought this frame a year ago second hand. It is the 60th anniversary Condor Acciaio 58cm Frame and fork. At the time, I had planned to just put all the parts off my Ribble winter bike onto it and run it as it is.







At the back end of last year, I decided to build my Ribble winter bike up again (decent mud guards) which meant, stripping this down this down. Whilst the frame was stripped of components, I thought I would like to get it painted as the original black paint was beginning to look faded. So off it went...



As this was now going to be just my summer bike, I began hunting during the black friday / Christmas / January sales and managed to get some good deals on new wheels and groupo.

Anyway the frame came back from Bob Jacksons and I am very pleased.

I will get the scales out later for a total weight, for all of those who are interested.

Looking forward for some good weather to go out and ride it.

That looks brilliant, I'm not a fan of the panels they use, the best looking bikes they did were in the nighties.

Thanks, I was worried about the colour, whilst waiting for it come back from paint, but when it arived I knew straight away I made the right choice.

Just weighed it; 8.35kg without bottle cages.

hhmmmm...

...pretty sure I could save a few hundred grams changing the fork.

Any recomendations for bottle cages?

I think King Stainless would look the part, but I do worry that they wouldnt be as secure as the plastic elite cages. Pretty rough roads around here and I have suffered a few times with ejected bottles...

Elite Ciussi? Classic looks, secure and it doesn't scratch up your bottle.

The blue looks really nice! I personally like the stainless King cages but maybe Arundle Mandible cages might look good?

first of excellent work on the rebirth, looks absolutely gorgeous !!
ive a king gages on my hardtail and yet have to loose a bottle, we we got some pretty wicked trails, so im pretty sure you'll be fine with them.

I have put some mileage in on the Enves now and as good as the are i have decided to part way with them. For the type of rides I like to do on this bike 200k+, tubulars are just the wrong type of tire. I have also moved to Victoria, BC and it seems that there isnt anyone that fixes tubs localy so it has been an exspensive way to ride.

Got some Reynolds clinchers on their (next monday) so pretty stoked about that. Will ge some pictures up when they are here.
