First of all, a BIG thanks to fellow forum member Thrillho for selling me his custom-painted frame. Really great dude to deal with. As you can see, the paintwork is amazing!

No real weight-weenie boutique parts except the stem and seatpost, so really quite pleased with the final weight.

I have a Giant TCR Advanced SL and a Cannondale CAAD10 (both great bikes), but this bike is much better is almost every aspect. Responsive, stiff yet not too jarring. A real beast on the climbs.

Nice bike. Many advocate the fitting of a spacer above the stem so that the whole clamping area of the stem is on the steerer.

Burglarboycie - I'm using parlee's carbon front mech clamp, topcap is a generic no-brand piece.

Valbrona - I'm aware of such a practice. Perhaps I will move the spacer at the bottom of the stem to the top. It's a 5mm spacer and I think I could go lower.

If you have an expander sitting just inside the stem then chop the top. Some EE brakes would be a nice finish to this machine and a custom 12mm tall Mfck seat post clamp

How is that stem? Does it flex much given it's weight?

Impressive build and weight for relatively standard components. Great stuff!
Road bike: Cervelo R3, Campagnolo Chorus/Record mix...
Supercommuter: Jamis Renegade...
Oldie but goodie: De Rosa Professional Slx, Campagnolo C-Record...
And you can call me Macktastik Honey Pete Kicks, thank you.
