Awesome bike. I'm planning on buying one soon. More complicated because I'm in the States. Enjoy!

finally done with the build and bar/stem/saddle placements.
happy with the build. didnt really looked for superlight parts on this compared to my other builds. the wheels i got

NOS from one of the local shops here, some parts which i had aquired and stocked, most shift components from my R5

which ill rebuild after this.
that should be it for now.

BUILDLIST:
-canyon aeroad CF SLX, XS glow red
-canyon S27 aero seatpost
-canyon h13 stem 100mm
-syntace racelite CDR handlebar
-campagnolo SR11 EPS V2 shift kit*

-shimano br6810 direct-mount calipers (debadged), jagwire black holders and icestop carbon pads
-lew racing pro-VT1 boron carbon wheelset w/ tune mig70/mag170 hubs, continental attack/force tubs

of course, i wished it had these.
-campag direct-mount calipers or suitable alternative
-black DLC chain to pair with my black recon alu cassette (which i already have)
-black ti pedal spindles
-lighter crankarms (could not source out my favorite fsa k-force arms in 386 or megaexo version this time)

What's the "zip tie" looking on the rear tub?

Refering to those perpendicular black lines on the tubular. Never saw that before indeed.

That is entirely up to you :) It is just that seeing the picture of you on the bike reminded of the Specialized wind tunnel video where they measured almost as much aero gain from shaved legs as they did from switching from a round-tube frame to an aero frame.

By the way, would you mind if I put a picture of your bike on my blog?

FL, you have totally nailed it! I can't stop looking at this! (Micropox's as well!)
The red is such a beautiful colour.

As another person eyeing off an Aeroad, I'd love to hear about the ride also?

The red color is definitely way much cooler. Too bad that color is only for electronic specific bikes

I had that same problem to, so was getting my head round to the idea of getting all black.

another nice build and tasteful selection of parts...wondering if you had any thoughts on the "maintenance" aspect of the matte red finish.
