after this build, rode a couple of different frames. back to canyon for this year and excited to try an aero build this time!
ordered almost the same time as micropox's aeroad.
frame is electronic, size xs and glow red color.

here's the frame after stripping out the parts from the bike.

front triangle

rear triangle
Image

will use a locally-made 4mm delrin headtube cap
Image

headtube/fork junction
Image

41mm X 86mm bb shell instead of 46 x 68mm, limited BB/crank choices compared to PF30 but not a dealbreaker for me. very clean internals.
Image

under bb area, with the removable cover for wiring/ battery installation, the one on the downtube is the internal battery holder
Image

gear and brake cable entry together= clean routing
Image

integrated seatpost clamp
Image

2-piece/3-bolt hanger and wiring exit
Image

non drive side

apologies, no weights.   didn't want/or was lazy to take out the direct-mount calipers. will just weigh whole bike when done.

Absolutely awesome, I wanted one of these in this colour but I couldn't get just the framset in this colour option.

Then was told after a Retul 3D fitting that it was not a good fit for me =(

Beautiful! I was actually inspired by your BURAsl to build my bike, and this one (in this color!) Is exactly what I would get if I was building something new today. Would you mind commenting on the ride characteristics differences between the Canyon and the NeilPryde?

@marty- I don't see anything in the aeroad geometry that would make it different from whatever you are riding! change fitters!!!

@andreLM- thanks! will do when I get enough rides in this.

Really wishing i had gone down this route now i.e buy the full bike and strip off shitmano stuff and replace with my record eps stuff.
Ordered frameset and handlebars only in this exact colour, ordered in october, due delivery last week in May :-(
The wait is going to kill me

Was the EPS installation pretty straight forward or a nightmare? does the internal battery fit ok?

Another member said the same thing, I didn't want to risk it. This was the first time I bought a road bike brand new and know little about Geo and fitting. I am happy with my new bike and have support from a decent group of guys at the shop.

Still love the Aeroad though!

Such a stunning frame!! I'm really loving Canyons at the moment. If I ever fancy something a bit more aero I will definitely go for one of these

Nice bike, but those Chewbacca legs of yours are negating the benefits of the aero frame!

thanks boys!

@colnagojohn- yes! im sure you also noticed i was selling the wheelset and groupset here. after i sold everything, frame with the calipers ended up around 60% cheaper then frameset price in their website.

eps install took faster than when i did it on the R5, maybe because of familiarity. my battery is in the downtube bosses, didnt try installing in seattube. taped it to a meter tape segment (im cheapass enough not too buy the expensive tool), wires facing BB, slotted it in the BB hole and fished the bolthole out with the bolt for a good 20mins. the rest was pretty straightforward. charging port is floating, accessed from the BB hole

joner- shimano-like action, quick and solid grip rather than modulated.

fa63- lol! im no more than a poser. should i shave?
