One of the first ones in America - Eddy Merckx San Remo 76 in 59cm. If I'm riding a made in Asia plastic bike then it's gonna have one name on it - the King. Sorry for the lousy phone picture in front of my bench, but it's too damn cold.

Weight - 16 pounds 15 ounces or 7.7kg.
Wheels - Fulcrum Racing 1 2 ways with winter 25mm Conti Four Season Gator
Group - 2014 Record EPS external battery w/ Super Record Shifters
Deda Zero 100 Cockpit

Haven't really had a chance to ride it yet as the weather is lousy here. But she sure is a stealthy looking bike.

Not a fan of carbon Merckx usually but this new item looks good. A "clean" version of the Pina F8 :beerchug:

(I guess they still share the same engineering with Pinarello?)

I usually like a bit of colour on a bike but I'm loving how subtle this is

Very, very nice. Like the weight for a "normal" build, like the frame (a rare one on WW), the colors and of course the choice in groupsets.

Let us know how it rides when you have been able to put a few kms on it...
Road bike: Cervelo R3, Campagnolo Chorus/Record mix...
Supercommuter: Jamis Renegade...
Oldie but goodie: De Rosa Professional Slx, Campagnolo C-Record...
And you can call me Macktastik Honey Pete Kicks, thank you.

What's the frame weight? Sounds quite heavy for the build?

So in regards to the weight - there are a few items on there to consider.

First, merckx has never been about the weight - so the frame and fork isn't gonna win and weight contest. Next, it's a large frame - 60cm basically. It also has a heavy groupset on there - first gen EPS with external battery. The cockpit is rock solid, but not too light either - Deda Zero 100. I changed the peddles to Expresso 10s from 6s, but gained some weight with a Regale Saddle from the Prologo - so it was net neutral.

The wheels are where some weight is. They are 2 way fit Fulcrum 1s. I ride tubeless in the warmer months, but now that it's winter it's clinchers (and 2 way fit wheels are heavier) so now I got heavy tires on them, plus they are 25mm conti 4 seasons. So nothing light there.

Anyway, I will trim her up a bit and take her out when I can and report back.
