Scapin Anouk

Hello all, after a few posts I stumbled on the introduce yourself forum and figured there's no better time to say check in.
Over the end of the 2014 season I worked with some great folks here in Toronto (Blacksmith Cycle and Urbane Cycle) to build up a new bike for 2015. Really happy with how it turned out. The scope of the project changed completely around after I had to put a new furnace in the house but in the end, I'm maybe more happy with what I've got. The custom frame will be the next bike. As built in the pics, the bike comes in at 15lbs 8oz. Without wheels it's 11lbs spot on. Considering I didn't break the bank and started with their entry level carbon frame, I was shocked at the final weight.
After only a few rides, my initial impression is that the bike rides beautifully. Far better than it should and spring won't come soon enough.

Very nice. Just got myself an etika. Like the paint job is that a standard colour way or custom?
It's one of the two standard paint schemes. I liked the original but wanted all black... then this came out and I jumped on it. Tried to do a custom black on black but they only do custom on the Etika and Ivor. Oh well, I love it just the way it is.

Stroke of luck then. I was toying with custom paint but went all black stealth in the end. Will get some pictures up when I have changed the stem and bars out.

After a year on the Scapin Anouk I've posted a full in-depth review on my website. You can read it by clicking here. It's been an absolute pleasure to ride and always keeps me looking forward to the next ride.
