Why am I not surprised, LOL.
I want to hear a comparison to your old R3. I had an Evo - rocket on wheels - and I am sure you will enjoy it. The new Shimano 11-speed, regardless of numbers, is impressive.
You need a saddle and peddles that matches the scheme as a feel the red is no good - in my opinion only.
Congratulations on the bike!

Congrats on the bike.
I have figured out that the Aksiums are too smooth and very fast untrue after some pavement rides. So I would start with the wheels.

Me too.....I think I will probably start with wheels once the weather clears up.
Also looking mainly to tone down the accessories to let the frame be the show....so black arione, black tape, and black chainrings. I will probably lose the decals on the Aksiums to clean the look up for the rest of the winter before I swap them out for some handbuilts. Also swapping the tires out for some 4 seasons in 25mm since I hit a bit of gravel on pretty much every ride.

btompkins0112 lol. I think you change bikes as frequently as I change my underwear.
Looks nice. Congrats. What does the wife unit get each time you make a change? New shoes?

Of course I had already considered that!

txs
Had to leave town for a business trip so hadn't even planted my backside on it yet. I have a few rides planned later this week, so I will give you my impressions then.
EDIT: Yes, the R1 has the full carbon rails and shell.
