Hmm.....that's an interesting idea. It is probably around 2.5mm thick so that should work. Good idea!

Put grease or carbon paste around the O.D. of the spacer, as a sealant for the I.D. of the rubber disc. Will help to repel sweat from running down into the bearing.
Of course, you'll need to post new slammed pics

I was waiting for that......unfortunately, I cut the steerer so short on my CAAD that I had to let it go when I sold the CAAD :cry:

For the sake of everything weenie, ditch those fabulous aluminum Cannondale end caps! They are like 30g each...dead sexy but ridiculously heavy :shock:

I was just about to suggest veloflyte, but someone above already has.

Also, I have a SiSL and a spidering just collecting dust in my basement. Compact spidering, or mid compact FSAs or standard MkVs, it's your choice.
