After a couple of years on its original spec I feel it's time my DeAnima got a makeover.
So the mechanical SR11 is being replaced with SR11 EPS with an internal battery. The frame is currently in Italy being converted to electronic only configuration as well as getting a full respray. Paint scheme is simple gloss clear with painted graphics.
As EPS is a smidge heavier than mechanical the finishing kit needs rethinking and I think the wheels need updating too.
I'm thinking of replacing the Deda Zero 100 bars & stem with Cinelli's Dinamo bars and an Extralite OC stem.
As for the Superzero post, I'm a little stuck. I want a conventional 2 bolt system with 15-20mm setback, 31.6 diameter in gloss carbon. Current post is 195g, so Fizik's R1. Any suggestions?
Wheels are another area ripe for dieting. Originally I was running GL330s with Veloflex Criterium tubs and Ambosio Giro d'Italia clinchers on DT 240s. Weight were 6.4kg & 7.0kg respectively. But having used wider clincher rims for the last 6 months, as well as having had issues with flex on DT setups, I'm minded to standardise on wide tub rims as well.
I plan on the following builds.
Clincher - Ryde Pulse Sprint/Sprint OS on Campagnolo Record 32h with Sapim Laser in all black. Vittoria Open Corsa SC 25 & Challenge Latex tubes
Tubular - Velocity Major Tom on Stans 3.30R 28h with Sapim Laser in all black. Veloflex Roubaix, Challenge Strada or Vittoria Corsa SC 25 tubs
Original build was this

How do you like the ride? Was at Bespoked over the weekend and my girlfriend really liked the look of that frame and is now hinting that she wants one as her next bike. I hadn't really come across them before, so I would be keen to hear your views on them.
Great looking bike btw

Thanks.
I came from a Time VXRS which was super smooth and light but a little nervous on descents. This is still smooth and light but much more surefooted.
Built up with SR11 mechanical & tubs it was 6.4kg. We'll see what it comes in at with EPS.

Let's face it most people with deep sections don't need them and aren't actually getting any significant benefit as they're not rising fast enough. All they are getting is a harsh ride.
At 50 I know what I really need. To eat less and ride more. A pair of Boras will lighten my wallet but I'll suffer twice over as a result.
