...still a very good looking bike, simply removing the red stripe on the stem would help a lot. right now the red attracts the attention on the rising stem. there is a quick fix! enjoy the RB1K! - Awesome bike :)

and i love the Bond above and the others in this thread, some impressive builds and the weights are good for a Cipo...btw how much does the bond seatpost weight? cheers

BTW it is noticeable that FilmAt11's Medium frame weights 1227gr while my Large weights 1181gr. Obviously the shiny lacquer adds a few grams (mine is naked carbon).

Yes, the clear lacquer is generously applied - luxurious :)

Thanks for the info kgt ! and Filmat11 glad you are enjoying the luxurious gloss :)

So based on the weights I have seen so far, below are my wild guesses for weight ranges for the 3 main Cipo models.
Since I have ridden/weighed small frames I have more knowledge of those weights than the larger frames

The lower estimates are for a Small frame in naked carbon (e.g. my RB1K) or minimal paint (e.g. Small RB800 in team colours),
for the Bonds i have no direct experience at all, so other forum members might want to Chip in (no pun intended :)).

So, feel free to amend/improve, but here is a first stab:

RB1K, frame, fork, ISP clamp, total
1195 1450 (Some ltd edition paintjobs get insanely heavy)
330 350 (Fork, uncut)
170 170 (ISP clamp)
1695 1970 (Total, range)

RB800, frame, fork, ISP clamp, total
1175 1325
330 350
170 170
1675 1845 (Total, range)

BOND, frame, fork, seatpost, total

BOND, frame, fork, seatpost
1100 1300
355 420
220 220
1675 1940 (Total, range)

Cheers

I need to get a 120mm stem. I currently have a 110mm Deda Superleggero, but I'm interested in a stem that compliments the broad , flat tube surfaces and 3K glossy finish. Any suggestions? Would be nice if Cipollini offered a stem.

I think the superleggero is a functional good looking stem...i think mine in 120mm weighs ~120-122g

The ritchey superlogic works well even though its UD http://ritcheylogic.com/road/stems/superlogic-c260-stem.html maverick has it on his RB1K and it looks great

o/wise the MCFK in 3k and especially the AX rigid are attractive options....(i opted for the cheaper MCFK)

the MCFK has a simple industrial functional design whereas the AX is very chiseled and striking (but i had mixed luck with AX products: some great (seatposts) some utter crap (brakes); the ax price is equally striking)

personally i think the 3T ARX LTD also looks good on most Cipos and it is a stiff light stem, but it is UD (plenty of examples here http://www.mcipollini.com/en/biciclette/rb1000 )

also have a look at the FWB test for inspiration :) https://fairwheelbikes.com/c/reviews-and-testing/stem-review/

or you can wait for cipo to release their own integrated bar/stem ''Hammer'' which should look something like this

weird design no?

That bar is ferocious! Does it make sense anatomically? Odd. Might look good on the level top tube models. The rear section of the stem is the sort of flat surface I was looking for.

That bar looks like a nightmare anatomically

Other than the funky wheels, the frame simply looks like an evolution of the Bond?
