A couple of better pics. I did not like the red on the bars and stem with the blue accents on the frame so I decided to have some fun in the shed.

Hit the rotor crank arms with some flat black


Some acetone to remove the red on the stem


Some sandpaper on the brake levers


Sandpaper on the bars to remove the red

Like it quite a bit without the red! Definitely looks better to me, same with the crank, nice job man

How do you and paper. Clean job!

For sanding I just used some sheets of 1200grit sandpaper cut into strips 2-3cm wide and worked at it slowly by hand. It took a couple of hours but it's enjoyable work!

Fron Wheel 368g with no skewer or trye.


The wheels are surprisingly stiff for such a light weight. The rear was 507g, but I didnt get a pic, sorry....

I have had these wheels out a few times and I am quite impressed with the stiffness for such a lightweight set. I suspect the high spoke tension may be part of the reason. The hubs are very smooth and a bit quieter than I suspected.

New (used) sram red crank with wheels manufacturing B.B. much nicer look over the rotor!
