My Ritchey,
After three carbon framed machines i was ready for something different. After seeing a lot of ind. Fab bikes and quite a few Rich Tarskis come by, my eye fell on this subtle, without being bland, grey frame.
A new headset came with it, and i ordered a new seatpost and stem to match. The rest of the parts were carried over. Something that amazed me was that the frame comes with a fork and headset, but that it lacks spacers. Luckily there were a few original Ritchey spacers at hand. After i installed those the logo's were removed with a bit of acetone as it made the front end look busy
The bike is already a bit different then in the pics as the challenge tires made room for Vittoria pave 25's, the AX Endurance saddle made way for a flite 1990 for winter and fall riding and the Tune bottle cages were replaced by Elite Ciussi Inox versions.
A new picture is needed, i know, bu the weather isn't helping.
The ride is smooth, subtle and fast. I realy like this machine.
Ritchey could improve on the frame by brazing on a front derailleur tab.

Thanks guys,the frame is a 57.
The great thing is that the wheelset also survives everything that i throw at it. Whether it is Belgian cobbles or unpaved country roads.
Ritchey claims the frame can take up to 28mm tires, well it does! The challenge Parigi Roubaix is 30mm when you measure it.
Tape is for wrapping gifts to your girlfriend, not bicycle wheels.

@ Wingnut, you are right, i could have sized up to a 59, but this frame happend to be on my path. I'm going to try it with a 120mm stem as well. Lets see what that feels like.
@ Juan and Marin, thanks! It indeed rides like a dream.
Here is a shot of the bike in it's current state. Vittoria open pave 25s and a flite 1990 together with elite ciussi bottle cages.

I actually prefer all carbon saddle and bottle cages. Sram is too modern itself and vintage parts do not add to the overall look IMHO.
beautiful!

Thanks guys! It is a blast to ride as well. After all of the carbon coolness this simple steel bike really got to my heart. The simplicity makes it a fun bike to ride as well. "normal" screw in bb bearings make creaks a thing from the past. My only gripe with the frame is in the coolest part of it. The headset, right now it seems like it will only accept Ritchey bearings, because of the flared drop in bearing design. Tom could also have chosen for a traditional headset setup. That would have made the frame heavier though.
@Michel2 175mm cranks and 82,7 cm saddle hight from the centre of the axle. you tell me if those legs are "lang" or not
