those actually do look pretty nice, I wonder what the weight is on them. It seems like specialized is using some interesting kit choices on their bikes now but it surprisingly seems to be some nice stuff rather than simply cost reduction
no idea of the brakes weight but certainly a bit heavier compared to DA9000
Clearly, they have choosed nice stuff, Praxis Zayant first!!
no idea about frame weight difference between the 2 bikes, fork should be lighter on the Comp : no painting, only mate varnish
clincher wheels on both bikes, but CLX seem to be much lighter, will weight both this evening to get comparison( same hubs excepted bearings, spokes are different, finishing different for the rims)
DA versus 105 220g
Zayante <> S-Works carbon crankset+Ceramicspeed bearings weight loss 100-120g ??
aluminium <> carbon S-Works handlebar crankst weight loss?? 50-100g ??
seatpost/stem S-Works on both 0g
Speedplay ti<>stainless 42g

Allez S-Works 6,74kg
Allez Comp Race 7,48
difference 740g
CL40 and CLX40 weight quasi the same!!??
Looking good. This is the first time that I saw Allez S-Works.
Out of curiosity, have you ever ridden Tarmac S-Works?
I understand it's matter of preferences.
Absolutely fantastic!!
I like this kind of bikes: aluminum, good components, simple and affordable.
I have both (aluminum and carbon) and also ride most of the time on my aluminum bike. Most people think carbon is always better, stiffer or lighter but this is clearly not always true.
EDIT: just had a look at the price tag on the internet and I should change my mind. This bike is quite expensive. Canyon for instance offers a comparable package (aluminum frame, Reynolds carbon clinchers, Antares saddle, all black paint scheme) for 300€ more but with full Dura Ace.
Makes your bike still look fantastic.

5.100eur for it not really affordable but not too expensive for a very high level aluminium bike
Roval CLX wheels with ceramicspeed bearings, S-Works Turbo tires
S-Works carbon cranks with ceramicspeed bearings
S-Works carbon seatpost/handlebar
Dura Ace 900 11speed
this bike is lighter (6.7kg, 250g lighter compared to the Canyon) and faster than many non affordable carbon bikes
2.290eur for the Comp Race with CL40 wheels (CLX without Ceramicspeed bearings) is a very interesting price
Canyon is very nice and has interesting price, but i clearly prefer the look of my Allez S-Works sloping frame whith his nice and smooth welds

Price I found for the black Comp Race was 2.699€.
2.290 is indeed much sharper.
As a Canyon owner I have to admit the black Allez is nicer as the new Ultimate AL.
And the Praxis cranks and Axis brakes are nice and unique too.
How is the brake power of the Axis brakes?
