Hello Gravity :)

I know that the headset in use ain't an integrated HS, but it is a 44 mm head tube we are talking about. 44 mm is also an integrated standard i.e. CK IS1, Canecreek 110ZS44 etc.

Anyway, I have never seen a Serotta Proto or other models with a 44 mm head tube.

I had a Seven made for a year or so back and I was thinking really hard about a Serotta. I had a lot of contact to Serotta but they would not make me a frame with such a head tube.

Have you seen other Serottas with 44 mm head tube?

@ Herb5998:

Was the 44 mm head tube standard when you did order the frame or custom??

Ebsilon, 44mm was standard on the Pronto models, as was PF30, which made the larger tube diameters easier. It was definitely a step away from their usual frames. No custom geo, di2, etc... At least that's how it was until they closed

utbyker, it's got a great ride, definitely stiffer than the Ottrott, no energy is wasted on the frame. Tapered fork and HT make the front end rock solid. Smooth on the road, but more road feel than other Ti bikes I've ridden.

The bike looks amazing. One comment is: What computer are you using? I see you have an SRM crank power meter. However I see a giant sensor on the front fork leg. Is there no slimmer or lower profile sensor for wheel speed?

Running an SRM PC7, the speed sensor is a standard Suunto/Bontrager speed sensor, nothing special.

I always love seeing Serottas with aggressive setups. When I built mine (before it cracked :(), I don't think I had built up anything close to it's geometry. Somewhat of a shame that the brand became synonymous with doctor/dentist/lawyer and upright geometry from it's origins as a competitive brand.

Love the color too!
