The Building of a S-Works Crux Disc
Moderators: MrCurrieinahurry, maxim809, Moderator Team
Just been lucky enough to put a deposit in for a brand new 2014 S-Works Crux Disc frame set in bright green. Pick up some time this week.
This is what I'll be getting:
Really nice colour way in the flesh and super excited to build this beast up.
When I get it I will make sure to weigh all the parts of the frame and various other parts I get etc to make all you weenies out there happy.
Spec will be Di2 R-785 Hydro Disc with Ultegra Med cage RD and 11-32 cassette. Will go a Rotor QCX1 ring up the front on a S-Works crank if I can find one at a reasonable price and run 1x11. Zipp Service Course SL cockpit up front. Cavendish Ed saddle and bar tape I think will look nice on this despite the CVNDSH logos. Wheels will be a set of Mavic Aksium Discs as training wheels and hopefully some nice second hand carbon wheels from e-bay or the likes as race wheels.
Anyway I will keep you updated with weights and purchases as they come. Hopefully will have it finished by November-December as budget is low after buying frame!
Any recommendations or inputs are very much welcome!
Thanks

What's going on with the fork dropouts there? They're backwards!

The dropouts facing forward is so the wheel has less chance of falling out/movingunder braking if the Q/R is tightend properly. There are a number of disc brake forks with convential dropouts and the wheel fits just fine just remember to tighten the Q/R up properly.
Yeah actually I've just compared some pictures of the CVNDSH stuff, although it is quite bright green the frame is so bright it almost has a yellowy tinge to it.
Should be taking delivery of the frame today

I think you'd be better off sourcing Liquigas stuff, that green would match well.
Ti or dye!

Its a 56. Really do like the colour too.
I've had a quick look for the liquigas stuff but it seems very hard to get your hands on. There is one Fizik Antares that they made which would be perfect which is mostly black with lime green at the back.
Anyway back to searching!
