So, after 300 km my BHS lightweight rear hub starts making a strange noise halfway into a ride. Take off the wheel and find quite a lot of resistance in the axle. Open it up at home and find a clump of metal filings behind the freehub, not-quite-as-smooth-as-you-would-like bearings in the axle body and free body, and substantial resistance when I put the end caps back on even just hand tight. Until I can sort something out with Brandon (please reply) the Ultegra rear wheel is back on.
Injury is a lot better now, so I also put on the Kalloy Uno stem the right way round.
Changes from last post:
Rear wheel: Ultegra 6700 Clincher: 957 g* (adding 247 g)
Rear tyre: Hutchinson Equinox 23 mm: 215 g (adding 20 g)
Stem: Kalloy Uno "7" 100 mm: 89 g (saving 17 g)
This puts the bike at 6.92 kg
