As it rests today at 6.62 kg:
This was fairly standard (non-ww) build until I really messed up my IT band at the end of 2013 and was forced to replace a serious riding bug with a serious (budget) ww bug. Since then I have been picking up ideas from this board, picking up 2nd hand parts from friends, ordering various bits of carbon from China, and spending as little money as possible towards (under-)achieving the magic 6.8 kg.

Like I mentioned, it's upside down because I'm recovering from an IT band problem. Should be able to right that wrong fairly soon though.

It's homemade cushioning that has since been taken off. I seem to be getting used to the bare carbon with time. New wheels will come soon so I'll update with a new photo when that happens.
Oh yeah definately looks terrible. It needs to look dirty too so that the cycle of looking totally F'd up too is complete.
^^ but they should

Can't say I'm a fan of the aesthetics, but well done on the weight
Mind giving a quick write up of the seatpost? Looks pretty good in terms of grams/$
Hope you have a speedy recovery

Thanks! The seatpost was a cheap buy at the time to help with the knee problem. With a metal rail saddle it was fine, but the cradle edges look too narrow for carbon rails. To use my Chinese carbon saddle I got the CarbonCycles carbon cradle, then some J&L yokes (ebay) just recently for more weight saving (also the yokes that came with the OTA post were a bit shit). Bolts are original steel so tuneable with Ti bolts, but since they are M5 not M6 I am a bit wary of that. Post is cut to about 25 cm (I'm 67 kg).
Total weight (price) = 152 g ($54)
OTA seatpost (27.2 mm, cut to 25 cm) = 109 g ($25)
Original yokes = 27 g, replaced with J&L yokes = 13 g ($12)
Original narrow cradle = 16 g, replaced with CarbonCycles carbon cradle = 14 g ($17)
Original bolts = 16 g
Edit: I also put a bit of inner tube around the carbon rails in the hope it protects them a bit.

New wheels on the bike. Custom job mentioned in the first post. Also broke the spring in my 105 rear mech. Will try and fix it at some point, but in the meanwhile bought an Ultegra RD-6700 replacement. Also put on J&L yokes to save about 10 g. Kalloy Uno stem (save 20 g) is also bought but not on yet. Also upgraded my camera so you can all get properly jealous of this wonder of geometric poise and aesthetic beauty.
Changes from first post:
Front wheel: BHS UL hub, Sapim Laser (20), Kinlin XR-200, Veloplugs: 555 g
Rear wheel: BHS UL hub, Sapim Laser (24), Kinlin XR-200, Veloplugs: 710 g
Front tyre: Vittoria Open Corsa Evo CX, 23 mm (worn): 208 g
Rear tyre: Michelin Pro 4 SC, 23 mm (worn): 195 g
Cassette: Dura-Ace CS-7900 11-27t: 181 g
Seatpost yokes: J&L yokes: 13 g
Current setup below weighs in at 6.67 kg.

Future potential changes I can see are:
Kalloy Uno "7" stem to save ~20 g (bought)
Strip paint off frame to save ~100 g
2nd hand DA ST-7900 shifters to save ~125 g
2nd hand Carbon ZIPP SL bars to save ~80 g
Eolo Techno bar tape to save ~30 g (bought)
Alligator iLink outers to save ~60 g (guesstimate)
This would get down to ~6.3 kg.
Any other suggestions?
