If you wax it with carnauba wax, it will keep it's great look for years with little touch up.
For certain parts stiffer is more important than lighter.

Great bike.
To prevent oxidation of aluminum, I have heard good things about sharkhide metal protectant. Might be worth a look.

This is amazing, can't believe I missed this the first time around.

In polishing the frame, how did you preserve the logos/decals? Or did you re-apply them afterwards?
