Greetings Weight Weenies! First post, new member. After moving from Mt. Biking to Road Biking about 7 years ago I bought an entry level carbon Giant, which has served me very well over the years . . . until this . . .
Alas, after looking around, shopping around, etc. for the past 2 years, I've upgraded to pretty much my dream bike. I'm happy to answer questions or perhaps I'll write a separate post about my shopping experience, what led me to this bike, and how it's riding, etc. So far, I've done 1 ride and it's awesome...plus it's a sexy beast IMO
Introducing the brand new 2015 Wilier Zero.7.
- Ui2 groupset, Reynold Assault SLG carbon clinchers, small frame size.
- As pictures with pedals, cages, etc. it weighted in at 6600grams (+/-). However, I need to weight again on a proper bike scale as I was getting 100 gram or so variance each time I weighed it due to a poor scaling process. I didn't aim for the lightest weight of everything as I wanted comfort, performance (ex. slight aero wheels vs. pure Mt. Goat light weights), and the the right look, but I'm very happy with the current weight. Down the road, may look to shave a few grams here or there somehow. Regardless, here she is.
Cheers and happy cycling!

Thanks. Yes, I'll try to get a few better photo's on here.
Not sure how to post them to get the highest quality while being sized well?

KWalker - those are painted on or embedded into the carbon toptube as far as I can tell. Running my finger across it is flat and smooth. Just like the Zero7 logo here...
I see Wilier is still kind enough to include their brochure on the top tube.
I have always liked these bikes. I look forward to seeing what you do "down the road"

aqualelaki - Thanks. I've only had mine for a few days, but love it so far! Small frame, I'm 5'7 or 170cm tall, fits me perfect.

Zoose - Yes, that top tube "brochure" reminds you that when you get casually passed by a clydesdale on a Mt Bike that you better get your arse in gear b/c the bikes not the excuse...haha .
Any changes right away would be really small things (ex. Not changing groupset, or wheels) and I'm open to ideas or suggestions on smaller things to make it lighter or look better
Maybe Ti Skewers to start . . .

Doyler - Good for you. I think you'll love it. WHat's your build looking like, wheels, group, etc? Do you know yet...?
