Hi,
one question: is your frame made for bb30- or pf30 bottom bracket?
thanks, regards

Those elite cages are heavy! You can get some generic china cages on ebay (bontrager xxx lite copy for instance 16g), they range 16-25g each including hardware. Alu bolts. Typically no more than 20-30$.

J&L titanium seatpost clamp was 9g on my scale, also under $20.

Compression plug + top cap is another good place, ultrastar 2 compression plug + whatever light top cap and alu bolt. This will cost a bit more, and you need to do the $/g calculation and see if it works for you.

People have told you to ditch the 105 pedals. My time xpressos 2 (the cheapest) were $45 from ribble; they would save you 45g. Of course I don't know if you're ok switching pedal system.

Latex tubes? Vredesteins are just under 50g a piece, easily almost 100g savings over standard tubes. They are pricier and a little more fussy during installation though.

The izalco is a super under rated frame, yours looks great!

Thanks for all the suggestions!
I have a set of Blackburn slick cages 23g each they seemed unstable off road, but I may go back to them soon.

The pedals I want to upgrade for weight savings but I also don't want to because these seem to handle much more than what carbon pedals would. If I do find a cheap set of da pedal I will pick them up

Nice wheelset, going perfect with your focus. Who is manufacturing the rims?

btw: colour of bartape is discussable. ;-)

Went the wrong direction for Weight Weenies and put a couple extra grams on.

Updates:
Thomson X2 110mm 10°
Chris King R45 Laced to HED Belgium Plus with Vittoria Open Pave 27mm
Enve TI Skewers

The ride is great now as the paves measure over 28mm on these rims.
Sadly, I do not have a scale with me now so I don't the weight of these wheels, but I love the look of them.

Picked up a set of 38mm China Carbons and some black 27mm Open Paves I am planning to race on this season.

If anyone has any suggestions for me, let me know, but most weight saving parts are going to be expensive.

@JoeFlan - Lovely looking build! I know it's been quite a while since you had the frame, but do you know what the max tyre clearance on it was? I'm guessing 27mm Paves must have been up there
