Hello everyone,

Thought I'd share my current build. This will be my second road frame, and my upgrade into a carbon frame from a 2001 aluminum frame. Most of the parts came off the old frame, but I also added a few new pieces for this build.

Argon 18 was a company I have been seeing pop up around me more, but isn't something you see all the time, so when I found a deal on a new frame that came with the warranty, I figured I'd give them a shot.

Brand: Argon 18
Type: Krypton

Final Weight: TBD (I will take it up to the shop once I'm done building it out)

Frame w/ hanger, SP clamp - Argon 18: 1313g
Fork - Argon 18: 485g
Headset - 3D headset (Argon 18) / FSA: 201g
Seat post - Argon 18: 273g
Saddle - Specialized Romin: 252g
Stem - Ritchey Pro: 147g (will be replaced, likely with Zipp Service Course SL)
Bar - Zipp Service Course SL SS: 275g
Bottle Cage - China Carbon: 75g
Brakes - Sram Red: 276g
Front D - Sram Force: 89g
Rear D - Sram Force: 175g
Crankset w/ Rings/bolts - Sram S950 50t-34t: 655g
Bottom Bracket - Sram TruVativ GXP: 110g
Shifter - Sram Force: 263g
Front Wheel - China Carbon: 759g
Rear Wheel w/ Cassette - China Carbon + PG1070 26t-11t: 1192g
Tires - Continental GP4000sii: 422g

To Come:
Tubes
Chain
Cables
Bar Tape

Let me know what you all think and if you have any suggestions! I will report back once I'm finished with the weight and final pictures. Enjoy!

(Sorry about any blurry photo, I tried to go back and fix anything that was meh, but the stripped frame photos I was stuck with)

That sure is a pretty frame. At 275g it would be really worthwhile to replace that seat-post.

The frame, fork, seat post & headset, I thought were all a little heavy. I am on the entry level frame though so I'm not complaining. I am going to mess around with the Argon 18 3D headtube and normal spacers before I make cuts, but I think there is some weight to saved by getting rid of their alloy spacers.

I also think there is some weight to be shaved from the saddle, but I think that might be less of a priority for the time being.

good choice of manufacturer imo. Had my Argon 18 for over 10 years now and still going strong. Good company and looks great!

Bike looks great, but I think it's a bit overweighted frame / fork combo due to the modern standards .....

Looks really neat. Those wheels look trick with the seat post and white frame and black Argon Logos.....

It would look the bomb with a plain matt black stem or maybe just remove the Ritchey logos!!
