I'm quite a new in road biking. I have had Cannondale CAAD9 cyclocross few years but I haven't been doing road biking very much before this summer. Now I have ridden some thousands kilometers including 200km ja 400km brevets. I'm very enthusiastic for road biking nowadays and so I needed proper bike for that.

This Colnago is second-hand bike equipped with full Campagnolo Super Record Ti 11sp groupset and RAR Svelt 32 wheels. It's in nice condition. Just some very small scratches. My bathroom scales says it is 6,9kg as pictured.

First thing I'm going to change is bar tape. I'll try black one. I thought that I'll change bars right away but now when I have tried those I may keep them. Yes, those are bit heavy but feels very comfortable.

This is where I started:

I noticed problem with rear wheel. It is not sitting in the middle of the fork. The wheel is very near to the non-drive side chain stay. Bit strange because these wheels are used in this bike. Do I need some spacers or how to fix it? Or maybe the wheel have to be built again so that the rim is in center of the hub. I'll do some measurement to check if the problem is in the wheel.

Dropout spacing is 132,5mm
O.L.D (Over-Locknut-Dimension) is 131,6mm

Edit: It seems to be that the rim is not centered properly to the hub. I think it can be fixed easily by wheel builder. I have to take it to the local shop.

Lovely ride! I agree that the bartape needs replacing, but I would go with white instead of black. In fact, I would go with a white saddle too. I find that white bartape and saddle compliments a white frame much better than black. Maybe that's just me though, but the white tape and saddle does look good on my own ST02 :D

I contacted seller and wheel is going to be fixed.
If black bartape is not looking good I'll try white :) For my taste look is a bit too messy. There is pretty many logos on the frame so other component should be very simple. Next steps aftre bartape change could be:
- White RAR -texts on the wheel needs to be changed to black ones or to be removed.
- Remove logos from the handlebar
I think I'm not going to swap saddle yet although there is too many colors on it.

@simon: Is there any photo of your ST02?

One indoor photo. New bartape, white stickers removed, stem logos removed. Should go outside to take some better photos.

I can't attach photo to this post. Only that thumbnail link. How to do it :)

Much better without the red tape. Still think this particular frame looks best with a white cockpit...

That C-50 is looking good! What is the color of the handlebar in that white cockpit?

@Zander... The handlebar itself is a black 3t Rotundo Team. I like the classic bend.

Nice bike Zander - Have you tried another wheel in the frame to confirm its deffo the wheel thats at fault??

Here's my C50 with black tape and red bars . I know Calnago doesn't like these bars, but having lived with it now for a while, I like them and they feel really nice.

We could start our own ST02 club

Lig.

That's going to be a classic Colnago paint scheme (if it isn't already).

I'm not a fan of white tape, but think it might be the right color for the job here.
