Bought a Specialized Venge expert new last November. I knew I wanted a Venge and wanted the best spec I could get for my money. Turns out I could get a New factory Demo out of a box, brand new for less than what a Comp would cost (105 running gear) vs the Ultegra I got on this.
The only thing was... All specialized demos are always painted in gloss black with minimal red graphic. It rides great, it just didn't look/feel like a bike of this RRP.
So me, being me. I stripped it
Called in a few favours from a mate who is a painter and had a "Flattening " agent applied to it.
Then set about finding some lighter Aero wheels for her, changed the bars to my preferred bend and The result. I LOVE IT
Since this shot I have put charcoal coloured cosmic stickers on the rims. The Garish yellow Cosmic Carbone was really off putting, I put my preferred seat on it And finally lowered the stem to my liking.
Still to come will be black chain rings at the front.
