Hello, long time lurker here.
Just wanted to share my ride:
Frame: 1805 gr Alu
Fork: 345 gr (uncut)
Stem/handlebar: 350 gr (ebay)
Seat post: 165 gr (ebay)
Saddle: Fizik Arione
Brakes: Planet X Cnc
Wheels: Carbonspeedcycle (Helin Liu) 50 & 38 mm (with powerway hubs) ca 1440 gr
Tires: Michelin service Course 4
Bottle cages: Ebay (50 gr, pair)
Grouppo: 105 except:
Ultegra 6700 53/39 crank and FD.
Total weight with pedals: 7808 gr. (not exactly ww but it's a process
Budget so far: 1500 USD
Next up: Getting a lighter frame, you might ask, why didn't you start with the frame? Very true and possibly silly trying to ww a 1800 gr frame but i'd like to have a proper Ti frame and need to save a little first.
The new lighter Alu frames are also intriguing (Canyon, or the not-so-new CAAD10?).
Why not a carbon frame, Who knows, maybe...

Nice build. Any idea who manufactures the frame?
