Decided to change Diverge for a Roubaix and see, what can I do with entry model Roubaix ELITE in upcoming cold winter months. :noidea:

Neatly packed from factory

Total weight minus packaging = 8.500g, not bad.

Time to strip it down.

You should see it in real life. Almost glowing in the dark, didn't expect that.
My other Look frame in bright Neon Yellow, don't come close to that blaze yellow from Plasti Dip.
But it is sadly prone to UV fading, will probably not stay that bright for long.
They recommend using layer of glossifier spray, so that you get some UV protection and glossy finish.
But in this case, the rest being matte finish, I would have to Plasti Dip complete frame, maybe in the future.

Guess how much?

With 10 layers of Plasti Dip, only 7g.
Yes, only 7g.

New total weight of the fork is 337g.
This stuff is amazing. Stunning "paint jobs" they do with cars, with simular, but professional grade product Auto Flex.

And it is all removable.

I plasti dipped the wheels on my car blaze yellow and it is shocking how bright it was, really liked it and it looks great on your fork. Can't wait to see the finished product

I'm interested in this plasti dip. It appears you were able to mask it. Does the crisp edge make it more likely to peel off? Very cool product.

If you are using two colors like this, you can't mask it correctly, even if you are using wet method, witch is in this case impossible, because you have to put a lot of layers and let it dry.
I "invented" much better solution. I painted over indented lines and after 24-48 hours, when the plasti dip is dry, I use masking tape outside the intended masking space and use white spirit to dissolve the dip, right to the edge of the tape. This way you get controlled crisp clean lines.
Plasti dip will dry back again and the edge will be perfectly sealed, with no lifting.
How will this cope with road great, oil and grease is totally different story. Probably won't last long.
I tested different cycling cleaning product on a test plate and all are slowly dissolving the Plasti Dip off, except one,Muc-Off bike cleaner, which is matte finish friendly.
Other solution is investing in this ridiculously expensive product.
