Wow, I'm surprised it weighs 8.1kg - is it a large size? Mine was only around 7.1kg on the standard issue Mavic Ksyrium Equipe S. I guess the Ultegra Di2 is quite a bit heavier than Red.

Ordered 3T Rotundo Ltd bars in 42cm. Unfortunately Wiggle sent 44cm, so I've sent them back and am awaiting the correct ones. I threw the 44s on the scales while I had them.

Image

I weighed the Cannondale bar plugs - they're really nicely engineered but they're 13g each!

Image

Deda replacements are 4g for the pair.

Image

Bar swap and re-tape should drop me 150g+.

42cm Rotundo Ltds arrived. They're 188g, so heavier than the 44cm ones!

3T Rotundo Ltds fitted. The C2 bars that came off weighed 302g. I've fitted with Deda tape and end plugs, removing the heavy Cannondale ones.

Weight with Raceware Garmin mount, bottle cage and pedals is now 6.38kg.

Wow congratulations, even with pedals only 6.38kg! Looking forward to your next update, though I can't imagine what it may be!

Finally got hold of a KP017L expander / topcap. Nowhere in the UK seemed to have stock for a while.

Image

This replaces the KP017 for a useful cheap drop in weight.

Bike now sitting at 6.34kg

Google "Cannondale Experts"

Cannondale Experts wanted too much to post to the UK. QWERTY Cycles usually have them but are out of stock. I bought from a UK eBay seller who currently has 10 or so for sale for £19 inc postage.

I am going to be building one up next week. This has been very helpful. I'm taking a 105 build and putting my New Red on it with a SISL2 stages crank and Mavic SLR's. Your build made me do it.
