After only lurking a lot, I think it's time to post my ride. Frame ordered in febr 2013, but only arrived end august. So the frame had to wait winter to be build up. After >3000 miles in a few month, I can only say :"what an incredible bike"!! I come from a Scott CR1 sl that I rode for almost 5 years. Nothing but praise about it, but this one is clearly one step up!

Build list:
-Slx ultimate frame & fork. Size Large
-Lower accros headset cap (instead of I-lock)
-Chorus groupset, with super record ti compact crankset, TA 50-39 or 36 chainrings
-Speedplay Ti
-Ritchey Superlogic seatpost
-Ritchey 4Axis stem (1 1/4) 12cm
-Easton Slx3 handlebar
-Deda perforated bartape
-Sworx toupé saddle
-Shamal ultra wheels with ( almost 10 year old  ) tune scewers
-GP 4000s rear/ GP Attack front
-Michelin Ultra-lite tubes
-Bontrager Race Lite bottle cage sanded
-Garmin 500 with cadance sensor and racewaredirect mount

Total weight is 6,36 complete with above parts. Both tyres were new when weighted

Future mods:

-Arundel Mandible oil slick matte UD already orderd (beter match than the 3k finish of the Bonty) ==> +10gr
-Record chain and cassette are already laying around and will replace the chorus ones when worn ==> -45gr
-Red or black tune skewers. ==> -10gr

Should bring me close to the 6,3kg mark. Why not a few TI bolts for stem and seatpost to get there?

A few pics taken today. Bike is not 100% level, but in reality, saddle is only very slightly tilted backbards

LOVE it

may i ask what inseam length you have? i currently have an old trek madone in 58cm size and i am considering getting myself this canyon frame. canyon's PPS recommends a size 56 (medium), while the dimension of the 58 (large) seem more appropriate...

I don't know my inseam, sorry, but saddle height is 77,5 cm. With your saddle height of 79cm, I would go for a large if you don't need to much drop between saddle and handlebar. I had to order their special headset cap (I-lock is 16mm, this one 4,5mm) in order to get the bar low enough. Drop is +/- 9 cm to give you an idea ;-)

txs

to me, 79 seems a bit high for an inseam of 86, (i'd rather put it at 76)

but indeed if you really want your saddle at 79, than a large would be the better option

Nice one. I owned previous slx model, really nice bikes.
The new one with the straight fork looks much better.
You run short on electric tape (right hand side)?

brilliant, that is some important info !!!

looking forward to seeing matte arundel mandibles on the bike as those would be my no.1 choice too...

any chance you weighed frame, fork and headset when they arrived?

yep, I did  . Here some pics.

Fork is uncut. Frame weight includes the der hanger, seatpostcamp, all the liners and headset bearings. So 889 - 16 - (+/-) 50 for the bearings gives +/- 825gr. So completely bare frame should be close to 800gr

Stem includes the plastic cap that weights 5gr. Bolts are supposed to be steel ones.
