Blue AC1SL Prototype, 6240g at 54cm

Hey all-
Hope you enjoy my first WW build and post! Its a stunning and unique Blue AC1SL prototype. I bought the frameset from Mike Giraud, Blue's product development manager, who said that it implemented some different resins. Wheels are Mavic's CCUs with Vittoria tubulars and Ti skewers, drivetrain is mostly Sram 2012 LTD green edition, with a Zipp crank and Feather brakes. Cockpit is Shimano Pro PLT stem, blank bars and saddle.

Final weight: 6240g (13lbs, 12oz)
Cable routing is internal, with the rear brake housing entering the side of the top tube. Had to experiment a bit with the shifter housing but I think I got it to work out.

Awesome, awesome bike. Big fan of the AC1 and I'm glad someone came in and revived the company. That said, I have one small criticism.
Surely with a steed that nice, you could also afford a push mower.

Yup, or you can also go to your LBS and see if they have any of the black rubber tabs that can go into the bolt. IMO it looks the nicest (especially if you have a black headset... not sure how I feel about the black tab in the blue NoThreadSet).

Braking on the CCUs is exceptional. I haven't gone on any long descents but the action of the brakes is well-modulated, probably owing to the cam arm progression of the Feather brakes.
For the carbon saddles- I think the biggest factors are the type of road surface you'll encounter and having them precisely dialed-in. It's been fine for doing hill laps on smooth asphalt at a park in Portland (Mt Tabor) but I hesitate to ride out into the city with it, especially with a stiff carbon seatpost/frame/wheelset beneath it--ouch. Likely switching to an arione
