Its been awhile since my last build and with a significant birthday approaching it was time to get back in the game. First photo - frame just back from the paint shop - the grand reveal will be at the 2014 Melburn Roobaix ride. I wont give the game away yet but this one is intended to bridge the gap between classic style and modern convenience. Photo by FYXO

1983 De Rosa Professional - handbuilt with Columbus SL tubing - freshly chromed and re-finished to original colour scheme. This is obviously the classic style part of the project

Would you call that colour 'electric' blue?

Hope it turns out as good as the Cinelli. Would look great with c-record with delta brakes. There's a full gruppo for sale on campyoldy.

That frame colour is wonderful.

Thanks KB - I hope the Cinelli standard can be achieved also. The colour is indeed stunning - the photos don't do it justice. This build will certainly use the best that Vicenza has to offer and pay close homage to the unquestioned beauty of C-Record but with the benefits of another 30 years of further development - including the sometimes overrated (by delta brake owners) task of actually being able to stop. To reflect the C-Record 'look' the components wont be used straight out of the box but undergo some customisation - starting with the removal of the graphics...... (you are looking at the shifter lever blades)

While we wait, let's see (or post a link) to the Cinelli being talked about above.

Just a little update today - found the seatpost I needed on the weekend – I think KB's advice helped me finalise the choice – C-Record with engraved logo – still the most beautiful AND functional Campy have produced. Should be quite a bit happening this week - really looking forward to seeing some of the parts being put together
