here is my shot in building my dreambike. i really love this one and i will make it as i like.

so here it is....

frameset custom saronni inspired paintjob (a beautiful special candy red, all paint no stickers) colnago c40 b-stay size 54

groupset dura-ace 7800(shifters, levers brakes crankset 53/39) (1700g)
cassette sram red 11-26 (170g)
chain will be kmc gold x10sl (ordered still not yet arrived) (260g)
seatpost colnago carbon
saddle selle italia (soon will be replaced with a full carbon saddle at around 100g)
custom carbon handlebar 42cm (195g)
stem 3T Arx LT 90cm -17degree (120g) (ordered still waiting for it to come. meanwhile i put a ritchey stem that i do not like)
wheels dura-ace 7700 hubs&qr+colnago ambrosio rims (weight fully equipped aprox 2700g without cassette +verdestein volante 23c)
jaqwire white cables
white bartape
pedals dura-ace 7900

i guess that is all.

the bike is not ready. i just put the parts together to make an idea. weight as it is (without chain 7,28kg) not the lightest bike. with some carbon tubulars i can make it under 7 with ease maybe under 6,5kg but this is not the point.

hope you guys like it as i do :beerchug:

Thanks. It's also my favourite paintjob from colnago. I painted at a local painting shop.

update the pictures in the first post

today i wrapped the handlebars... very proud of my wrapping skills  also mounted the jagwire cable kit. i can not wait to ride it...hope the rest of the parts will arrive quick (ordered the chain and stem from ebay usa and i am in europe... should take less than 2-3 weeks)

The frame is really nice. No doubt.
The stem is not a great choise IMHO. Neither the handlebars.

nice Project

one question :

what kind of paint remover did you use ? I read standard paint remover can weaken the carbon resins.

I would have finished the seatstays and fork legs with translucent carbon, otherwise it is nice

( and I would have built it with Campagnolo or worst of cases on Dura Ace 7700, those cranks and shifters are too bulky for that frame )

hello, it was used just sandpaper by hand. the bike was originally equipped with da7700 but i wanted 10 speed and da7800 is my favorite group from shimano. i really like the look of it. i also have a chorus 11 group that i tried on this frame but i stayed with da in the end. like everything about it. shifting feel, looks, durability.

some pictures from yesterday ride... rides like a colnago. i really like it (forgot how a c40 rides since last ride) rides much better than cx zero for example ( i also have cx zero disc with di2 that i will get rid of after i will finish this c40)

i will get rid of that sram red cassette and replace with a 6700 or 7900 one 11-25.

also the stem will be replaced ( i ordered a 3t -17 degree one and i am still waiting to receive it)
