2014 BH Ultralight 4.3kg (9.47 lbs) FINAL UPDATE Page 5

Hello,
I thought I would put together a BH Ultralight with some weenie parts. If I can drop weight elsewhere, please let me know how. I used AICAN Bungarus housing with PowerCordz for shifting. The performance on this combination is absolutely terrible as the PoweCordz seem to stick inside the housing/liner. Any advice on how to get this combo to work better would be appreciated. I am probably gonna just switch them out to steel cables or maybe the KCNC Ti Cables. I was also thinking about using the Ax Lightness Ax6000 fork that I have. I decided not too because I wanted to live past my 40th birthday. The Cirrus Ultralite Ti pedals are also very scary as it is not an easy task to clip out of them. In fact, I snapped my TUNE bottle cage trying to get my right foot out of them. I will probably switch the pedals out too. Thanks for looking

To all that are curious about the frame and fork weights here they are. The Ax Lightness fork is much lighter (uncut weight) but I cannot find the courage to ride it.

very nice build, but I am less than impressed with the frame weight. Did that include all the required hardware (bottle cage bolts, internal routing pieces, rear der hanger etc?)
I say this because my size large frame came in at 2 grams heavier (825 g)

When I put together the bike, the frame was the last thing I purchased as I was deciding between the BH ultralight, the 2014 Addict SL or the Ax Lightness Vial EVO. I went with the BH because I liked the black on black color scheme and wanted to try out the BB386 BB standard. The frame weight did surprise me somewhat as I was expecting a lighter weight for a size small. The weight includes the derailleur hanger and the internal cable guides (blue cables that you remove after installing cables). Before weighing the frame, I removed the bottle cage bolts and cable stop panels. I was really hoping for a sub 800 gram weight. It seems that the 2013 and 2014 models with the internal cable routing weigh a little more than the 2012 version with the external cable guides.

guys....you are crazy!
30 or 40 gramm more or less...sorry. who cares??
i think, this is a very beautiful frameset, and an impressive build.
the ax-fork seems not to be made for tapered head-tubes. combining it with the bh-frame might cause some problems?
btw: claimed frame-weight is 750 gramm. without specification of size, so, as you can imagine, its related to smallest size xxs. and manufactorers use to weigh naked frames, without anything.
so, i think, 823 gramm for size "s"-Frame, with hanger and cable guides, is absolutely ok.

Nice frame, decent weights. You obviously had a big budget for this build. You should get that black KMC X10SL DLC chain to really finish your bike(s).
“I always find it amazing that a material can actually sell a product when it’s really the engineering that creates and dictates how well that material will behave or perform.” — Chuck Teixeira
Holy hell! beautiful build!!!
I like the black KCNC DLC chain! I just ordered it along with some KCNC Ti shift cables to replace the Powercordz shift cables. Anyone out there get this combo to work?? Do I maybe need a different liner? Kind of a waste to dump the Powercordz since they aren't cheap.
